Terms & Agreement
HomeFees, Payment & Refunds
The lesson fee must be paid seven (7) days before the first lesson (SwimChicken will provide the coach's name, ID, and phone number for verification).
Parents are responsible for any equipment borrowed by their child during the lesson. Lost or damaged equipment may be charged at the applicable replacement cost.
Exam fees for Lifeguard or Swim Teacher certifications are paid separately.
In the event of a medical emergency or significant life event, a pro-rated refund may be considered.
Pool Access, Preparation & Attendance
Weekly lessons continue despite minor rain, late arrivals, or holidays.
Babies and toddlers require one parent per child if they are unable to follow instructions independently.
Required items to prepare include goggles, swimsuit, swim cap, and diapers (for children aged 3 years or below).
Recommended items to prepare include a towel, bathrobe, and drinking water.
No pro-rated refunds, catch-up lessons, or lesson time extensions will be provided due to late arrivals, early departures, weather-related interruptions, missing required items, or a participant's inability to follow instructions.
Weather Alternative: In the event that swimming is not possible due to bad weather, a Dry Land Workout may be offered as an alternative. The Dry Land Workout will count as 1 lesson credit and will not entitle the participant to an additional swimming lesson or catch-up lesson.
The Validity Date will be extended by one (1) week for each teacher absence.
Validity, Transfers & Deferrals
Lessons are valid only at the invoiced pool and may only be transferred, free of charge, to a non-classmate who shares the same pool access and schedule.
Catch-up lessons are subject to availability and can be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you. Available slots are fully transparent and can be found at https://swimchicken.website/availability/
Multi-Family Deferral Policy: Deferrals or postponements require mutual agreement among all affected parents and participants. They are also not permitted when the remaining weeks are fewer than the remaining lessons.

Lesson Conduct & Progress
We highly recommend limiting lessons for babies to 30 minutes to reduce the risk of catching a cold.
Student progress and results vary by individual.
We discourage discussions among coaches, students, and parents in the pool or around the pool.
Rescheduling is not permitted more than once per payment cycle.
Safety, Liability & Responsibility
The coach is responsible for your safety during the lesson ONLY.
Swimming involves inherent risks, including slipping, falling, and impact injuries. By participating, you confirm that the student is physically fit and has no medical condition that makes swimming unsafe. These risks are accepted for both trial and regular lessons.
Photography, Recording & Media
Students and parents may not take photographs, videos, or audio recordings during lessons without prior approval.
Emergency Medical Consent
In the event of an accident requiring emergency treatment, I authorize the coach on duty or the independent coach to seek medical treatment on my behalf.
I understand that I am financially responsible for any related medical expenses.
I will not hold SwimChicken, the coach on duty, or the independent coach liable for any accident arising from such emergency treatment.
